27th May 2009 Paul Casey's Dramatic Win A look of vague optimism sat on Ross Fishers face as his eagle putt on 18 drifted agonisingly past the cup. An eagle that, only later realised by Fisher, would have forced a play-off with winner Paul Casey. Lying -7 after 17 holes an eagle would have polished off a great day for Ross but it was not to be, he tapped in the birdie submissing himself to a -8,2nd place and only a £400,000 prize. Instead, Paul Casey about 10 minutes later got up and down for a birdie to end at -17 pushing him up to 3rd in the world rankings along with the Abu Dhabi Championship and Shell Houston Open titles he won earlier this year.
